The historic heart of the event, the Trophée Mer, now known as 'La Course' is Europe's first student regatta. Attentive that the EDHEC Sailing Cup is and remains a great sporting event, the Fédération Française de Voile is committed to supporting the teams in the success of this project, an asset to be a sporting reference.
Each year the competition invites amateurs and experienced skippers to surpass themselves in events that some legendary athletes such as Eric Tabarly and Alain Colas, or, more recently, François Gabart, Armel Le Cléac'h and Arnaud Boissières have already faced.
Beyond a simple sporting challenge, this regatta was created with the objective of democratizing sailing and, year after year, the EDHEC Sailing Cup makes it a point of honor to make the practice of this sport accessible to as many people as possible.

Finally, the solidarity packs were created to promote openness and accessibility: any crew that does not have the means to participate in the race is eligible for this offer which includes: boat, evening parties included all week, lunches and packed lunches included during navigation days and finally registration fees and accommodation paid.
