"La Course", formerly known as the Trophée Mer at the origins of the EDHEC Sailing Cup

Attentive that the EDHEC Sailing Cup is and remains a great sporting event, the Fédération Française de Voile is committed to supporting the teams in the success of this project, an asset to be a sporting reference.

Each year the competition invites amateurs and experienced skippers to surpass themselves in events that some legendary athletes such as Eric Tabarly and Alain Colas, or, more recently, François Gabart, Armel Le Cléac'h and Arnaud Boissières have already faced.

Beyond a simple sporting challenge, this regatta was created with the objective of democratizing sailing and, year after year, the EDHEC Sailing Cup makes it a point of honor to make the practice of this sport accessible to as many people as possible.

The "concours plaquette", supporting participants in the search for sponsors, and the "EDHEC Pack" format are proof of this. In addition, from an inclusive perspective, the EDHEC Sailing Cup supports and encourages the participation of disabled crews in partnership with Sopra Steria Mission Handicap.

Finally, the Solidarity Packs are part of a real desire for openness and accessibility: any crew not having the means to participate in the Race is eligible for this offer which includes: boat, evenings included all week, lunches and packed lunches included on sailing days and finally registration fees and accommodation paid.
